Registration with full payment must be received at least 2 weeks in advance of the ADVANCED Workshops. Lodging and meals are not included in any workshop and are the responsibility of the student.

Photo Safaris These all inclusive Photography Training GeoTours are wonderful educational experience in some of the most beautiful locations on the planet. These hands-on touring photography training safaris will teach you everything you need to know to be in complete control of your photography. They incorporate the Advanced Photography, Composition and Photoshop for Photography classes on location and hands on with much more time on location to practice the skills you've learned!
Our Photo Safaris are like no other safari on the planet! We are an Oregon GeoTourism photography training center. Not only will you learn photography, but you'll become immersed in the culture, ecology, history, and lifestyle of Oregon. These are once in a lifetime photography training experiences that will feed your soul and send you home with spectacular images!
A percentage of student fees go back to the State Parks we shoot in, where applicable!

Private Tours: These are private photo safaris. You get one-on-one instruction on these fully customizable tours to some of the most beautiful places on the planet. You decide the duration, the level of photography instruction (basic, advanced), the type of location (coast, forest, desert, waterfalls, etc.), and the difficulty level for our travels into the outdoors. Price includes travel and park fees (meals not included). Four hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, and two 8 hour days available.

Capture the beauty and majesty of the Oregon Coastline. You'll travel down the coast to capture breathtaking images of Eight Oregon Lighthouses. Where else can you learn to photograph 8 lighthouses in one tour?

This tour starts and concludes at the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center in Oregon City where long term parking is free for our tours. Our most popular Safari, this expedition will take you from mountain rain forest to high desert, capturing the glorious mountains reflecting in the lakes along the way.

We'll head out on a four day all inclusive adventure capturing the amazing volcanic mountains reflecting in some of the most beautiful lakes in the world. You'll be amazed by the varying terrain Oregon offers from ancient forests to high desert. Chances are you'll see wild animals like bear, bald eagles, and rattle snakes!

Ghost Towns of the Oregon Trail (Official Page)

Imagine photographing real ghost towns in the middle of the desert in the cold dark of night. AMAZING! We'll follow the Oregon Trail out the Gorge with it's beautiful waterfalls and back the Barlow Road with it's historic structures. This is guaranteed to be a one of a kind learning experience for all travelers.

This tour starts and concludes at the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center in Oregon City where long term parking is free for our tours. We'll head out on a five day all inclusive adventure of a lifetime! Follow the Oregon Trail out the glorious Colombia River Gorge and it's magnificent waterfalls. We'll pass from forest to desert as we head into the heart of ghost town territory. Then prepare yourself for the truly surreal experience of photographing these spooky, possibly haunted structures in the dark of night to bring home images that will amaze everyone!

The Oregon Gardens

September 1-3
Macro mania! Four days to get up close and personal with more plants than you can shake a stick at. You'll learn photography, lighting, and photoshop. We'll focus on composition!
After the safari we'll print your best fine art image for auction with the proceeds going to help preserve your favorite part of the garden! You'll get the gratification of selling your art and the satisfaction of knowing your art directly benefited the garden!
This tour starts and concludes at The Oregon Gardens in Silver falls, OR. Lodging will be at the Moonstone Lodge adjoining the gardens. We'll focus on the compositional aspects of macro photography as we have access to the gardens during off hours for the best light. This tour will also focus on learning about the various fauna in the garden's ecosystem, so not only will you learn about photographing the plants, but you'll learn about the plants and their place and function in our world. This will be a wonderful experience for anyone wanting to hone their macro skills to a sharp edge and to learn about the beauty that grows in the gardens!

Girlfriends' Getaway Oregon Wine Country

This tour starts and concludes at the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center in Oregon City where long term parking is free for our tours. We'll head out on a five day all inclusive tour through Oregon's spectacular wine country! Learn lifestyle photography as you sample and taste your way through the best wines and food this region has to offer. This is your chance to kick back relax and enjoy: fine food, wine, and photography instruction. What more could you ask for. We'll be hitting the wineries just before the grapes are pulled from their vines, when they're at their most beautiful! We'll be staying at true Oregon institutions and Historic Properties, McMenamins' Hotel Oregon and McMenamins' Grand Lodge! The Grand Lodge has a great Soaking Pool for the last two nights of the tour (bring your swimming suits). Both offer Ruby's Spa and Massage if you'd like to treat yourself to a little extra pampering in the off hours of the tour.
